06.14.10 Catching Crabs at SkinnyMan

Emmy-winning audio engineer Roy Harter will be mixing and sound designing season IV of “After the Catch” for Discovery Channel.   Mike Rowe hosts this 5-part mini-series follow-up to the highly successful Deadliest Catch“.   It features America’s favorite fisherman getting together to tell their salty tales and share their experiences on the high seas.   The series is produced by Tim Mann, and directed by Matthew Bennett of Silent Crow Arts.  This season’s first episode will air on Tuesday night, June 15th.

06.09.10 Genesis Breyer P-Orridge

SkinnyMan welcomed legendary musician/ performance artist Genesis P-Orridge to the studios.  S/he was being interviewed upstairs at Three One Design for the upcoming Daniel Harrison documentary on experimental music entitled, “What’s that Noise?“.   P-Orridge, who is most known for his work with Throbbing Gristle, and Psychic TV, has been considered by many as one of the founders of the industrial music genre.   Genesis (as well as SkinnyMan’s own Roy Harter),  were interviewed for the film, regarding their philosophies of experimental music and sound design.
